Call for Art: Dreams and Nightmares: A diorama show

A Duluth community art show featuring dioramas inspired by the abstract mind.

Where does your mind go when you sleep? Where does it go when the real world takes a back-seat and you fall into thought? How does it feel to be locked inside your own head? What does it look like? To dream and to imagine is a mysterious human experience that has baffled, inspired, and even terrified us all since the beginning. Dioramas are the perfect medium to explore the concepts of dreams and nightmares because of the amount of variety and creativity it lends to. The opportunities for 3D layering, unrealistic proportions, strange and unexpected materials are abundant and encouraged. Participants are invited to think outside the box :D

Dreams and Nightmares is a community show with the intention of bringing people together to show their art and be inspired by others. It will also be a great opportunity for conversations about our dreams and fears. A community that delves into the unknown together will be strengthened.
